Jackie Aina x Anastasia Beverly Hills Palette 1st Look

So of course I had to drop this super cute eye look I released on YouTube here with you all! I bought the Jackie Aina x Anastasia Beverly Hills Palette and here's the 1st look I created with it.

This palette comes with ABH standard 14 shades, with shimmer and matte shades featured in the palette. The collaboration was officially released every where Aug 15, 2019. The Jackie Aina x Abh palette features irredescent packaging

The palettes 14 shades feature 8 shimmers 5 mattes and one shade that has tiny hints of glitter. The shades featured in the newest Anastasia Beverly Hills release are as follows:

Soleil, Supreme, Pinker, Big Wig, Dwollahs, Credit, Lituation, Zamn, Wiggalese, Shookington, Trust Issues, Edges, Sponsored, and Ginger.

Jackie wanted to create a palette that would look good on all skin tones as well as for the african community who are often left to deal with Foundations, Eyeshadows, and Lip colors that make our skin look gray ashy and are often simply put … Non complementary!

This collaboration although it had a very successful launch came with its own controversy and backlash from European fans of ABH who call the palette a “Racist Palette” 😵🙄 #HOWSWAY

The controversy didn't last long as the beauty community fully embraced the essence of ABH mixed with Jackie Aina with this thoughtful and strategic Makeup Palette release.

My 1st Look

My first look with this palette turned out really pretty. I created a Soft Pink and Gold Halo eye. This eye look is really versatile and will be beautiful on any skin tone. Simply blend well and use your own transition shades to make this blend seemlessly. To create this first look with the ABH palette I used shades from the palette: Supreme, Trust Issues, Ginger, Edges, and Big Wig.

Final Thoughts

My finals thoughts are clear! The ABH x Jackie Aina Palette is a smash! I love the palette, packaging and shade are very Jacki-esk. I felt this collab was totally fitting and I quite appreciate the shades being black girl friendly. If you haven't gotten the palette you may certainly want to slide into your local Sephora or Go online and grab it!
